Bastien und Bastienne

Music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Libretto by Friedrich Wilhelm Weiskern, Johann Heinrich Müller and Johann Andreas Schachtner

Opera Boston young artists present Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne, a one-act comic opera--written when Mozart was just twelve years old--about a young shepherd and shepherdess seeking relationship advice from the village magician, who attempts to reunite them with an amusingly nonsensical spell. The opera will be semi-staged, engaging and fun for all ages, and performed in English translation.
